FAQs

What is the attire for the wedding?

The wedding is black tie optional. However, if you have a tux or gown accessible, we encourage you to wear it! The bridal party will be in tuxedos and shades of blue. We request that gentlemen opt for a traditional black tuxedo or dark suit. For ladies, evening gowns or formal pant suits are preferred, but all formal cocktail attire is acceptable.

This is a spring wedding, and we hope everyone embraces the joyful and lively spirit of both the season and occasion. Vibrant prints or pastel hues are all welcome.

There will be some walking on grass, gravel, and bark. Please consider suitable shoes for various walking environments (particularly avoid stiletto heels for women).

Will we be inside or outside?

Our wedding is an entirely outdoor affair in order to take advantage of the beauty of a Pennsylvania spring. There is an old greenhouse on the property where the bar for cocktail hour will be, and the reception will be held under a large tent on a solid floor.

What kind of weather can I expect?

The weather can be unpredictable at this time of year, however we are predicting temperatures between 65-70 degrees with lows of 45-55. There are heaters for The Tent and Greenhouse if it starts to get chilly once the sun sets.

Since April showers do bring May flowers, keep in mind the possibility of some rain. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside The Greenhouse, and the sides of The Reception Tent will be kept closed.

Is there transportation to the wedding venue?

Yes. A school bus will offer one pick up time at the listed hotels. Times will be provided at check in at the hotels.

The bus will begin returning to the hotels at 9:00pm and continue to run until 10:45pm, so feel free to party with us all through the night.

Is there parking at the venue?

There is ample parking at the venue if you prefer to drive. If for some reason you don’t feel safe to drive yourself home, cars may remain parked on the property, but they must be retrieved by 9am, Sunday the 28th.

Uber and Lyft are also available in the area.

Can I bring my kids?

We love kids but are respectfully asking that your little ones stay at home. If you need local child care recommendations, please reach out directly to the Bride or Groom.
